The doors to a brand-new world: Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN launches Chinese social media channels

Hinwil, 19 March 2022 ­– #alfaromeof1teamorlen is opening up to a whole new audience as the team launched three China-based #social media channels. With China’s first ever Formula One driver, #zhouguanyu, ready to make his debut in this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix, the team made a step to reach nearly 1.5 billion potential new fans through its new Chinese language channels on WeiboWeChat and Douyin.

This decision taps into the unique ecosystem of Chinese #social media, a world with incredible digital penetration that offers great opportunities to reach the country’s growing legion of motorsport fans. With the national #racing hero, #zhouguanyu, ready to be a role model for all the team’s followers and the team’s bursting appeal with partners, the new channels will provide the perfect means to reach out to a passionate, knowledgeable and previously untapped audience.

The team’s channels will feature much of the fan-favourite content that made #alfaromeof1teamorlen a darling of supporters around the world, but will mostly feature dedicated content devised and produced exclusively for the Chinese market, offering fans a unique way to experience the team.
