Mercedes-Benz sets an example on social media with a Movember moustache and brings out a special jersey

A livestream for a good cause: The #eSports organization #skgaming wants to draw attention to men's health and at the same time generate donations from its community with a 24-hour Movember Charity Stream. #MercedesBenz, partner in #skgaming since 2019, is supporting the initiative and participating in the streaming marathon with various activities. The livestream starts on 27 November at 5.00 p.m. on the Twitch channel of #eSports athlete #lucasbigspinnageler, Clash Royale player and content creator at #skgaming (link).

Under the motto Movember, men around the world grow a moustache in an effort to draw attention to important aspects of men's health. The brand with the star has been supporting the charitable initiative for four years now. Every year, numerous employees around  the globe collect donations in support of the Movember movement (link). #MercedesBenz is also making a visual statement: As can be seen on the social media channels of #MercedesBenz since the beginning of the month, a moustache adorns the well-known star logo. This is also featured on the #skgaming jersey, as the luxury mobility brand, together with other SK Gaming partners, brings out a special black jersey especially for the Movember campaign.

What's more, #MercedesBenz is actively co-creating the livestream in the form of a one-hour slot at 9.00 p.m. together with some prominent figures: two-time F1 #eSports Pro Series Drivers' World Champion Brendon Leigh and his team partner Bono Huis, both from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas #eSports Team, are taking part in the livestream. The two #eSports pros compete on the digital race track against other #eSports professionals from #skgaming as well as drivers from the community, and they provide expert tips on the game.

However, the 24-hour livestream is not about competition. Rather, the aim is to make the young #eSports community aware of topics such as mental health, suicide prevention and prostate and testicular cancer. In addition, during the entire 24-hour period, the audience has the chance to support more than 1,250 men's health projects around the world with their donations. The projects are conducted offline and online and range from sports to food, entertainment or styling and beauty. To reward the joint effort, #MercedesBenz is providing various exclusive prizes, which are raffled among all those who support the campaign.

SK Gaming CEO #alexandermuller is eagerly awaiting the charity stream. "With the 24-hour livestream, we want to draw attention to a topic for which awareness must be raised even more. Health, whether in men or women, is the greatest good we have," says #alexandermuller. "Without our partners like #MercedesBenz, such a project would not have been possible. We are therefore very happy to jointly make a contribution to this cause."
