Design & Covid-19: MYYOUR projects FLAMINGO

The Covid-19 emergency requires us to rethink the spaces of tomorrow and a great debate is being held especially regarding outdoor environments. We are talking about public spaces that many municipal administrations will make available to shops such as bars and restaurants so that they can provide service by respecting the rules of distancing between customers. Being able to count on additional sizes will make regulatory parking easier, but the interpersonal space and between the tables must never drop below the meter.

But not only. Access to the beaches will also be very different from the past summers: it will be by reservation, the distance of at least 1 meter between bathers must be respected, ensuring a spacing between the umbrellas (or other shading systems) in order to guarantee a surface of at least 10 square meters for each position and, between the beach equipment (sunbeds, deck chairs), when not positioned in the umbrella position, there must be a distance of at least 1.5 meters.

The restaurant experience and the one by the sea will be decidedly different from how we have lived them so far.

Changes that will upset our habits but which, in certain aspects, will favor greater intimacy and the concept of exclusivity.

And it is precisely on these concepts that #myyour, an Italian brand specialized in the production of outdoor furniture, has imagined these new spaces, proposing different solutions for the food & beverage sector and for the beaches.

These also include the new FLAMINGO, a delimitation system for beach workstations equipped with functional accessories such as the sanitizing gel dispenser and a "hidden" ashtray.

FLAMINGO

Imagine giving up the sea, the beach, an afternoon by the pool. This is the stimulus that led #myyour, with the collaboration of the Moredesign studio, to create FLAMINGO. A solution that recreates an exclusive situation, with increased spaces and preserved intimacy. The system, consisting of ballast and rope, allows you to divide the rooms in a personalized, agile and fast way, creating routes and accesses to your area, always guaranteeing safety distances. Perfect not only on the beach but also in contexts such as summer terraces of restaurants and bars and in swimming pools.

At the base of Flamingo there is a ballast that does not require fixing to the ground and allows easy positioning even on the sand. It can be filled with 5 liters of water or sand, which can be inserted from the comfortable top loading cap.

Flamingo is entirely made of 100% recyclable PL Poleasy®. The rope has a diameter of 12mm and is supplied in 100m spools.

Flamingo also works as a stand-alone solution, if integrated with the dedicated accessory kit.

ACCESSORY KIT

Flamingo is a "smart" product, which can be equipped with a kit of accessories that make it complete and responsive to the needs of the moment. A 1.5 liter dispenser can be integrated into the ballast to supply sanitizing gel, perfect for cleaning hands whenever necessary. The instructions for use are already printed on the label, affixed directly to the dispenser. Or, you can choose the version with cigarette butts holder, ideal for preserving the cleanliness of the environment. In this case, the ballast is equipped with an aluminum tube that can collect up to 300 butts, to be thrown into the hole created in the loading cap. The hole is designed not to allow the storage of other types of waste.
