Seawind Catamarans conducts largest dealer conference

Largest dealer conference held

Seawind Catamarans & Corsair Marine International announced ambitious growth plans at the international dealer conference which took place in November 2018.  35 delegates from dealers on 4 continents were treated to in-depth factory tours and technical education, sales training and product insight.  But they also were given unique input into new model developments, including a new model of Corsair to be announced in January.

Seawind Group Holdings - owner of the #seawindcatamarans and Corsair Trimarans brands believes its people and dealers are central to its continued success and growth.  As such, Seawind invests heavily in staff training and education.  This belief is imparted on the dealer network, who are very much an extension of the company.  Shane Grover, Sales & Marketing Manager for the group comments “Events such as this are crucial for the ongoing development of service skills as well as deepening the product knowledge in our dealer partners.  But this conference was about much more than training and product updates!  The networks developed here, and the experiences shared, are a catalyst for the innovation we believe is fundamental to the ongoing excellence of our brands”.

Seawind at an all-time high

Seawind Group entered a new phase of rapid growth in 2017 which continued in 2018.  Increased success in catamarans now sees the company planning for larger facilities and a doubling of demand for its unique catamaran designs by 2022.  Dealers backed the brand with commitments for even more boats in 2019 and revealed their own marketing plans which will carry the order book through further growth into 2022.

New Corsair revealed

The Corsair Marine trimarans brand will announce a new model at the Dusseldorf Boat Show in January and Miami Boat Show in February.  Dealers at the conference were given unique creative input into the new design, and a total of 15 pre-orders for this new model were taken by the conclusion of the event.  This will likely become the most popular new boat launch in Corsairs 35-year history.  Molds are now in construction with the first model to hit the water in the Summer of 2019.

Market Expansion Plans

With plans to increase capacity, continued success in developed markets will be balanced with plans to expand further into undeveloped regions.  In particular, the group plans to build on recent large orders from Korea and China.  Both brands are on the lookout for new dealers in new markets and are encouraging brokers and dealers with a keen interest in the multihull industry to make contact.

Dealers at the Conference Commented:

I just wanted to tell you how delighted we were with the sales meeting. Not only did Scott and I walk away feeling much smarter about both brands, we also feel much better networked with your team and the wider network of dealers. Suffice to say, I’m quite confident this will pay off in spades in the days ahead" - Rob Wright, Wright Yacht Sales

"Such a great conference - and team.  Well done to all.  Seawind is really going places.” – Terry Jones, Multihull Central
