Joachim Schlereth to succeed Andreas Schmid as Head of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Sales and Services Germany
Effective November 1, 2018, Andreas Schmid (58) will take over management of the Trucks Sales District Württemberg and serve as acting manager of the Trucks Sales District Bavaria. At present, Schmid is part of the management board of Mercedes-Benz Sales Germany and is responsible for #mercedesbenztrucks and FUSO Sales & Services in the German market. Prior to holding his position in Berlin, the experienced manager was in charge of commercial vehicle sales at Mercedes-Benz Italia as well as sales management and sales controlling for #mercedesbenztrucks worldwide, among other things.
Schmid will be succeeded by #joachimschlereth (56), presently Sales Director Trucks in the Bavaria regional association. Since joining the company in 1989, Schlereth held various management positions in the commercial vehicle business and played a key role in the establishment of CharterWay Germany, the provider of services and mobility related to the procurement, servicing and administration of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles.
