Nissan production, sales and export results for June and first half of 2018

YOKOHAMA, Japan (July 27, 2018) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for June 2018 and the first half of 2018 (January-June).

“The January-June 2018 period saw remarkable progress in Nissan Intelligent Mobility initiatives, with the new Nissan LEAF becoming the best-selling electric vehicle in Europe and the Nissan Note topping Japan’s new car sales rankings,” said Executive Vice President Daniele Schillaci, Nissan's global head of marketing and sales. “In China, Nissan achieved record results in both production and sales for June and the first half of the year. We will maintain this growth momentum in the second half of the year."

June 2018

Nissan's global production in June declined from a year earlier.

  • Production in Japan declined from a year earlier.
  • Production outside Japan declined from a year earlier.
  • Production in China surpassed year-earlier results, setting a record for the month of June.

January-June 2018

Nissan’s global production declined from a year earlier.

  • Production in Japan declined from a year earlier.
  • Production outside Japan declined from a year earlier.
  • Production in China surpassed year-earlier results, setting a record for the January-June period.

2. Sales

June 2018

Nissan’s global sales surpassed year-earlier results for the first time in five months, setting a record for the month of June.

  • Sales including minivehicles in Japan declined from a year earlier.
  • Sales outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the second consecutive month, setting a record for the month of June.
  • Sales in the U.S. surpassed year-earlier results, setting a record for the month of June.
  • Sales in China surpassed year-earlier results, setting a record for the month of June.

First half: January-June 2018

Global sales declined from a year earlier.

  • Sales including minivehicles in Japan declined from a year earlier.
  • Sales outside Japan declined from a year earlier.
  • Sales in China surpassed year-earlier levels, setting a record for the January-June period.
