Nissan sets new fleet sales record in 2015

  • Record year for #nissan #corporate sales
  • Fleet registrations top 85,000 in 2015
  • LCV sales up by a quarter

Nissan has enjoyed another bumper year for fleet sales in the UK, registering a record 74,768 passenger cars during 2015.

Up 18% on the 63,353 sales achieved in 2014, the volume gives the brand an all-time high 5.68% share of the UK fleet market (5.38% in 2014) and ranks it seventh in the list of fleet vehicle manufacturers.

The brand also enjoyed an outstanding year for sales of light commercial vehicles (LCVs), registering 10,398 fleet vans during the calendar year – an increase of 24% on the 8,394 sales in 2014.

In total, #nissan supplied 85,119 vehicles to fleet customers in 2015 – a 19% increase on 2014.

The all-conquering #qashqai crossover remained Nissan’s most popular fleet model, with 33,628 registered during 2015 compared to 26,866 in 2014 (+25%).

The largest of Nissan’s crossover family, the X-Trail, also performed well with fleet registrations more than doubling to 4,580.

Meanwhile, sales of the Pulsar C-Segment hatch were up an astonishing 631% to 4,567 units in 2015.

Nissan also continued to dominate the pure EV market, with fleet registrations of the all-electric #leaf up 51% to 1,830 units and registrations of the e-NV200 almost trebling (281%) to 602 units.

Barry Beeston, Director of #corporate Sales at #nissan Motor (GB) Ltd, said: “We have made significant advances during 2015, building on our outstanding product line-up and strengthening both our #corporate sales team and our overall fleet proposition.”

“This includes the introduction of new systems and processes designed to ensure we are fully focused on the needs of our customers, both nationally and at a local level, and also a new fleet ‘promise’ that sets in stone commitments to our customers.”
