Gazprom to create network of natural gas filling stations along Central Ring Road
Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the #gazprom Management Committee, and #sergeykelbakh, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor), today signed a Cooperation Agreement at the 7th St. Petersburg International #gas Forum. The Agreement is aimed at creating natural #gas filling infrastructure along the Central Ring Road currently under construction in Moscow and the Moscow Region.
The document includes a construction schedule for a network of gas filling facilities on the Central Ring Road. The facilities may be deployed on the premises of multi-fuel filling stations or separately. By 2025, #gazprom plans to build a total of nine such facilities. Avtodor, on its part, will allocate the land plots necessary for the construction.
The parties also agreed to formulate proposals regarding the construction and operation of mixed-use highway service areas, including bicycle racing and touring infrastructure, along the Central Ring Road.
