Linda Jackson wins the "Marisa Bellisario" Award

Linda Jackson, CEO of the Citroën brand, was presented with the prestigious "Mela d'Oro" (Golden Apple) award by the Marisa Bellisario Foundation in Rome on 16 June. The prize is awarded to women having distinguished themselves nationally and internationally in their occupations in management, the sciences and social endeavours.

The Examining Commission of the 29th Marisa Bellario "Donne ad Alta Quota" (Women at the Summit) Award attributed the prestigious "Mela d'Oro" (Golden Apple) to Linda Jackson, CEO of the Citroën brand, in acknowledgement of her "exemplary career and solid managerial experience. Her professional career and the substantial results she has achieved are an example and a model of skill, determination and desire, which should be recognised and stand as an example for new generations."

Receiving the award from Corriere della Sera journalist Bianca Carretto at the ceremony held on 16 June in Rome, in the presence of Pietro Grasso, President of the Italian Senate, the  CEO of Citroën said: "I would like to thank the Marisa Bellisario Foundation for this award. This Mela d'Oro testifies to the growing importance that women are taking in roles of responsibility, which very recently were characteristic of the masculine world, in particular in the #automotive industry. I share the same desire as Marisa Bellisario, who encouraged young women to be confident in their abilities and not be afraid to aim high."

Linda Jackson, an MBA graduate of the University of Warwick in the UK, began her career in the #automotive sector in 1977 at MG Rover Europe, for which she served as CEO of France for three years. She joined Citroën in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer for Citroën UK. Five years later she was appointed as CEO of Citroën UK and Ireland. She has been CEO of the Citroën brand since 1 June 2014.
Under her leadership, Citroën has initiated a deep-seated renewal, bringing a breath of fresh air to the #automotive industry with products that are unique through their design and focused on well-being through their comfort and technologies, including the C4 Cactus, the New C3 and, soon, the New C3 Aircross Compact SUV. She has renewed the Brand's promise, expressed through the "Be different, feel good" claim, to transform each journey into a true pleasure.
